"INERTIA 2025 "– JEC’s Celebration of Technology, Innovation, and Culture: 20 to 22 February 2025
Jabalpur Engineering College successfully organised its annual Tech and Cultural Fest, Inertia 2025, from 20 to 22 February 2025. The three-day event brought together students, experts, and innovators from various fields to share technical excellence, creativity, and cultural talent. The fest was inaugurated by Hon’ble MLA Shri Ashok Ishwardas Rohani, who inspired students to explore new ideas in technology and entrepreneurship. A major highlight of the fest was the Defence Work Expo, where students presented their innovative projects and learned about modern defence technologies.
Several technical activities took place during the fest. Students displayed projects like a Drone Pizza Delivery System and Robot-Assisted Searching Technology using facial and colour recognition. The Hackathon saw students working on real-world IT problems for 10–12 hours. A special Go-Kart exhibition by students and innovative projects from IIITDM Jabalpur, including AI-based robotics and 3D printing, drew huge interest. The fest also hosted Code-Kumbh, a competitive coding event where 30 teams solved complex problems. Team Vanar Sena won first place, followed by Team Gupta Squad as runner-up. These competitions highlighted the problem-solving and programming skills of students. Inertia 2025 also celebrated cultural expression. The music performance by ‘Raag’ captivated the audience, and the Open Mic gave students a platform to share poetry, songs, and stories. Colourful dance performances, mimicry acts, and stand-up comedy kept the crowd entertained throughout the evenings
Gaming fans took part in the E-Sports Championship, testing their teamwork and strategy skills. The Treasure Hunt event added an exciting challenge as participants raced to solve clues and advance through stages. To guide students about future opportunities, expert sessions and panel discussions were held with industry leaders like HCL founder Ajai Chowdhry and tech professionals S.K. Singh, Priyanshu Dwivedi, and Rahul Kumar Mishra. They shared insights on careers, startups, and upcoming trends in technology
The support and guidance of Principal Dr. Chandak played a vital role in shaping this event. A heartfelt appreciation goes to the coordinators Dr. Anubha Maheshwari, Prof & HOD, Department of Applied Chemistry and Dr. Sanjay Soni, HOD, Department of Industrial Productionwhose meticulous planning and smooth execution ensured a memorable fest. Special acknowledgement is also due to Gurdeep Singh Oberoi (Convener) and Subhanshu Pandey (Co-convener) for their remarkable organizational efforts and enthusiastic leadership throughout the event.
