Vishvakarma Jayanti Celebration at JEC: 17 September 2024

The Civil Engineering Department of Jabalpur Engineering College celebrated Vishvakarma Jayanti on September 17, 2024, to honour Lord Vishvakarma, known as the divine patron of engineers. Principal Dr. P.K. Jhinge and Dr. Rajeev Chandak led the puja, where prayers were offered for the safety, proper functioning, and long life of the department’s tools and equipment, which play an important role in practical learning.

The ceremony began with a havan, with sacred mantras chanted by a pandit, creating a spiritual and peaceful atmosphere. It concluded with the singing of the Aarti, bringing everyone together in devotion.  This ritual highlights the importance of respecting the tools and working with skill and dedication. At the end, prasad was distributed among all participants, symbolising collective hopes for a safe, productive, and successful year in engineering.
