Gandhi Jayanti Celebration at JEC: Honoring Gandhiji and Promoting Social Awareness: 2 October 2024

 Jabalpur Engineering College (JEC) celebrated Gandhi Jayanti on 2 October 2024 with a series of events led by Principal Dr. P.K. Jhinge, honouring Mahatma Gandhi's principles of peace, non-violence, and justice. The Department of Industrial Production organised a tribute program, where Dr. Jhinge and Dr. Sanjay Soni, Head of the Department, addressed the students after a floral tribute to Gandhi. Additionally, Kaarwaa.N, the NGO founded by JEC students, performed a nukkad natak titled "Call for Justice" (Insaaf Ki Pukar), featuring 22 students. The play highlighted inappropriate behaviour in various forms and its emotional, psychological, and physical impact on victims. It urged society to take collective action against harassment and work towards creating safer environments for everyone. DR. Jhinge concluded the program with a speech, reaffirming the college’s commitment to organising commemorative events with active student participation. He emphasized that students would learn from the lives of great personalities through essays, documentaries, videos, historical studies, and workshops conducted across departments.
