JEC Electrical Engineering Department's Two-Day Seminar on Sustainable Development: October 15-16, 2024.

Jabalpur Engineering College's Electrical Engineering Department hosted a two-day seminar on Sustainable Development on October 15-16, 2024. The event featured expert lectures and paper presentations, with over 150 students and faculty in attendance. It commenced with a welcome address by Principal Dr. P.K. Jhinge, former Principal Dr. A.K. Sharma, Head of the Department Dr. Shailja Shukla, Chief Guest Md. Zunnoon Sarwar, Guest of Honour, Dr. C.P. Gupta, Special Guest, Dr. V.K. Khare, Convenor Dr. Hemant Amhia, Co-convenor, Prof. Jitesh Sahu, and Coordinators Dr. Neha Nema, Prof. Rahul Indoriya, Prof. Ayush Verma, and Prof. Akansha Verma.

Seminar SSgExpert sessions covered key topics such as MD. Zunnoon Sarwar’s insights on India’s power sector policies, Dr. Savita Nema’s discussion on innovative solar PV designs, and Dr. R.K. Nema’s emphasis on solar energy transition. Dr. C.P. Gupta highlighted cybersecurity in microgrids, Dr. V.K. Khare analysed India’s power sector growth, and Dr. Manisha Dubey elaborated on the evolution and future of electric vehicles. Additionally, Dr. Vivek Chandra discussed AI/ML applications in power systems, while Dr. Ashok Tiwari explored energy storage technologies and India’s roadmap in the sector. The seminar provided deep insights into sustainability and electrical engineering, inspiring students to embrace innovation and contribute meaningfully to society. Through engaging lectures and thought-provoking discussions, the event highlighted the significance of sustainable development and its impact on the power sector, making it a remarkable success
