JEC Hosts Discourse on "India’s Contribution to the World in Science” - 28 June 2025
On 28 June 2025, Jabalpur Engineering College, in collaboration with the Mahakaushal Vigyan Parishad, hosted a Science Discourse on the theme “India’s Contribution to the World in the Field of Science.” The program was graced by the presence of dignitaries from the Mahakaushal Vigyan Parishad, including Shri Ankit Rai ( Pradesh Sangathan Mantri, Vigyan Bharti), Shri V.K. Raina, Shri Mukesh Rai, Ms. Mukta Bhatalay, Dr Sujeet Mahobia, Dr Saurabh Singh, and Shri Pradeep Kumar Yadav. A large number of students and science teachers who had an interest in India’s scientific heritage.also joined the program. The program began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp before the image of Bharat Mata and the heartfelt prayer of the members of Vigyan Bharati. This simple yet powerful tradition reflected a deep respect for the motherland and reminded everyone that science, too, is a service to the nation
Dr. Kamal Kumar Kushwaha, HOD(Department of Applied Physics) and a member of Mahakaushal Vigyan Parishad, introduced the theme and vision of Vigyan Bharati. He highlighted the Parishad’s efforts to promote the Swadeshi Science Movement and stressed how connecting ancient Indian wisdom with modern innovations can strengthen the country’s scientific progress. Professor Sunil Kumar Singh, NCC Officer, delivered an engaging address on “India’s Contribution to the World in the Field of Science”, taking the audience on a journey through India’s glorious scientific traditions
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Principal Dr. Rajeev Chandak, who praised the Mahakaushal Vigyan Parishad for its efforts in preserving and promoting India’s scientific heritage. “Our past is full of scientific treasures waiting to be rediscovered,” he said, leaving everyone proud of India’s legacy and inspired to carry its spirit forward. The stage proceedings were conducted by Madhavi Soni. The program ended on a serene note with the chanting of the Shanti Mantra.
