JEC Celebrates World Environment Day with Tree Plantation in Vidyavan – 5 June 2025

Jabalpur Engineering College (JEC) celebrated Vishv Paryavaran Diwas (World Environment Day) on 5 June 2025 with a tree plantation drive in Vidyavan—a green space on campus created to promote ecological awareness and sustainability. Vidyavan was first inaugurated on 7 July 2024 by then Principal Dr. Bhavna Jhariya during the college’s Foundation Day celebrations, with the support of distinguished JEC alumni. The initiative was later strengthened by former Principal Dr. P.K. Jhinge, who organized a plantation drive on 15 August 2024.

On this World Environment Day, Dr. Chandak and faculty members carried the legacy forward by planting new saplings in the same space. These regular plantation drives not only make the campus greener but also encourage students to care for the environment. Through Vriksharopan, JEC is building a campus—and a generation—that values and protects nature.
