JEC Inaugurates: International Conference on Novel Materials: February 5–6, 2025
An International Conference on Novel Materials and Applications (ICNMA-25)was organised by the Department of Applied Physics at Jabalpur Engineering College (JEC) on 5 and 6 February 2025, bringing together experts, researchers, and academicians to discuss recent advancements in material science. Cantt MLA Hon’ble Shri Ashok Ishwardas Rohani graced the occasion as the chief guest, while Professor S.P. Gautam, President of the Maha Kaushal Science Council Vigyan Bharti, attended as the special guest. The conference began with a traditional invocation seeking the blessings of the Almighty for its success
Dr. Kamal Kushwaha, the convener and Head of the Department of Applied Physics, formally welcomed the dignitaries, including Dr. P.K. Purohit (NITTR, Bhopal) and Dr. Ajay Kushwaha (IIT Roorkee) and outlined the objectives of the event. This was followed by a welcome address by Principal Dr. Rajeev Chandak. On this occasion, the dignitaries also unveiled the conference souvenir. In the technical session, Dr. Ajay Kushwaha delivered a lecture on nanostructured films, surface functionalization, and hydrogen energy, emphasising their importance in achieving energy independence by 2047. Speakers also highlighted the growing significance of High-Resolution Diffraction (HRD) technology in understanding physical properties, noting its role in simplifying crystal structure analysis, accelerating data processing, and opening new avenues for research. The inaugural session set a thoughtful and inspiring tone for the conference, blending traditional values with forward-looking scientific vision.
