JEC Cyber Awareness Drive: "Securing Our Digital Future": 4 February 2025
As part of the government’s Cyber Security Week (February 1–11, 2025), Jabalpur Engineering College organised a Cyber Security Awareness Programme on 4 February 2025, led by Principal Dr. Rajeev Chandak. The initiative aimed to equip students with essential knowledge about safe online practices and the growing challenges in the digital space. The session featured Shri Anil Kumar Kushwaha, IPS, Inspector General of Police, who, along with his team of experts, delivered an engaging talk on the rising incidents of cybercrime and practical steps to prevent them. They explained various forms of cyber threats, from identity theft to online fraud, stressing the importance of vigilance, secure digital habits, and legal recourse for victims
An interactive Q&A session allowed students to seek clarity on real-world cyber issues, making the programme highly engaging and informative. The discussions not only expanded their understanding of cybersecurity but also encouraged them to adopt proactive measures to protect their digital presence. Principal Dr. Rajeev Chandak’s efforts were instrumental in bringing this initiative to the campus. His commitment to student welfare and awareness ensured the programme’s success, leaving participants better prepared to navigate today’s digital challenges.
