Honouring the Legacy: JEC Celebrates 79th Foundation Day- 7 July 2025

Jabalpur Engineering College (JEC) observed its 79th Foundation Day on July 7, 2025, with a heartfelt tribute to its founding principal, Prof. Siddheshwari Prasad Chakravarti. Under the thoughtful leadership of Principal Dr. Rajeev Chandak, faculty members gathered to honour the visionary who laid the foundation of one of central India’s oldest engineering colleges.

 In a simple yet meaningful gesture, Prof. Chakravarti’s bust was garlanded, symbolising deep respect and gratitude for his pioneering contributions. Dr.Chandak’s initiative to lead this tribute reflected not only his reverence for the college’s roots but also his commitment to preserving the values and traditions that define JEC. The occasion was more than a ceremonial act—it was a moment of reflection for the entire JEC community, reinforcing their connection to the institution’s proud history and renewing their resolve to carry forward the legacy of excellence envisioned by Prof. Chakravarti.
