JEC Hosts Statewide Nashay Se Doori Hai Zaroori’ Awareness Drive in Collaboration with Jabalpur Police: 24 July 2025
As part of the statewide “Nashay Se Doori Hai Zaroori” (“Staying Away from Drugs is Necessary”) campaign, Jabalpur Engineering College, in collaboration with the Jabalpur Police, organized an Awareness Program focused on promoting a drug-free lifestyle. The initiative aimed to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and encourage them to lead a drug-free life. Students expressed their thoughts through rangoli, impactful speeches, and posters, all aimed at spreading one message loud and clear – “Say No to Drugs!” The participating students were also awarded certificates in recognition of their efforts. The program was honored by the presence of ACP Suryakant Sharma, CSP Satish Kumar Sahu, and Principal Dr. Rajeev Chandak as the chief guests, while Dr. Anubhav Maheshwari and Dr. Bhavna Jhariya served as the jury. CSP Mayank Yadav addressed the gathering, sharing valuable insights on the social and health consequences of drug addiction.
As part of the ongoing campaign, the Jabalpur Police are also operating a “Jagrukta Rath Yatra”, reaching out to various city and rural areas to spread the message of de-addiction. This campaign, held under the directives of Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Director General of Police Kailash Makwana, is being conducted across the state from July 15 to 30, 2025The program was coordinated by Dr. Shilpa Saxena, Dean Student Welfare, with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Kamal Kushwaha, Prof & Head, Department of Applied Physics. The event concluded with all participants taking a pledge to stay away from drugs, reinforcing the commitment to a healthier and drug-free society.
