JEC Signs MoU with NITTTR Bhopal for Innovation, Research, and Skill Development: 26 August 2025
On August 26, 2025, Jabalpur Engineering College (JEC) and the National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research (NITTTR), Bhopal, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration in technical education, research, and skill development. The agreement marks a new chapter of academic and industrial cooperation between the two prestigious institutions. The MoU focuses on joint research, industry-oriented projects, training programs, and internships. Special emphasis will be given to digitalisation in Industry 4.0, green technologies, and skill development, aligning with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The JEC delegation, led by Principal Dr. Rajeev Chandak, included Professor P.K. Jhinge, Professor Kamal Kumar Kushwaha, Dr. Kanchan Cecil, and other senior faculty members. The team visited NITTTR’s Centre of Excellence and Semiconductor Laboratories, where they were guided through advanced facilities by Professor Sanjay Agarwal, Professor Manish Bhargav, Professor R.K. Dixit, and Professor Hussain Jivakhan. The JEC delegation expressed deep gratitude for the support extended by NITTTR.
Speaking on the occasion, Professor C.C. Tripathi, Director of NITTTR, emphasised the need for technical institutions to focus on process development and skill-building to meet the growing expectations of students. Adding to this, Professor Kamal Kumar Kushwaha, HOD, Department of Applied Physics and Dean of Research & Development at JEC, said that student internships, faculty exchange programs, and industry-integrated projects will soon be launched under this MoU, enriching both teaching and research. Professor P.K. Purohit, Dean of Corporate and Public Relations at NITTTR, appreciated the initiative, calling it a commendable step towards excellence in industry-based
education and research. He also played a key role in making the collaboration possible. Principal Dr. Rajeev Chandak expressed his views, stating, “JEC, established in 1947, is one of the oldest institutions of technical education, and this MoU is definitely a big milestone for this prestigious college.”The event concluded with the formal signing of the MoU between JEC Principal Dr. Rajeev Chandak and NITTTR Bhopal, laying the foundation for a long-term, impactful partnership. Both institutions expressed their shared commitment to making this collaboration meaningful and beneficial for students, faculty, and society at large
