JEC Team Qualifies for District Finals in SVEEP Nukkad Natak Event- 16 January 2026

Under the Special Intensive Revision–2026, the District Election Office, Jabalpur (SVEEP Branch), organised a two-day District-Level Nukkad Natak (Street Play) Competition at Shri Ram College, Jabalpur, to promote voter awareness among youth. The programme commenced on January 16, 2026, in the presence of Shri Abhishek Gehlot, CEO, District Panchayat, Jabalpur, and Nodal Officer (SVEEP). Addressing the gathering, District SVEEP Coordinator Shri Pramod Shrivastava stated that the initiative brought government and private educational institutions together to strengthen democratic awareness. The second phase featured Dr Rajiv Chandak, Principal Jabalpur Engineering College, as the Chief Guest, along with Dr  Kamal Kumar Kushwah, HOD, Department of Applied Physics, as the Special Guest
Nukkad natak

 The semifinal round, held on the same day, witnessed spirited participation from 21 colleges and 40 Electoral Literacy Clubs, with students presenting powerful street plays that educated young voters on inclusion in the electoral roll, procedural awareness, and the importance of active electoral participation. Jabalpur Engineering College team impressed the jury and secured a place in the district-level final scheduled for January 17, 2026. This commendable achievement reflects the dedicated guidance of the college Nodal Officers, Prof. Pradeepti Lakra, Dr Durgest Nandini Nagvanshi, and Prof. Devendra Meda.
