Event Report: Hindi Diwas Celebration

The Department of Civil Engineering at Jabalpur Engineering College celebrated Hindi Diwas for the first time in the department on 16.01.2025 with great enthusiasm. The program was graced by Dr. Rajeev Chandak, Hon’ble Principal, along with Dr. O. P. Chouhan, Dr. Gopal Meena, and Dr. Bhupendra Gupta. The main objective of the program was to highlight the importance of the Hindi language and to discuss the challenges faced in academics due to language barriers. During the event, Dr. Meena and Dr. Gupta also shared their valuable contributions and achievements in translating engineering books into Hindi, inspiring students and faculty towards promoting technical education in regional languages.

Event Report: CAD Masterclass & Career Guidance

The Civil Engineering Society (CES) of Jabalpur Engineering College successfully conducted its first official program of 2026, titled “CAD Masterclass & Career Guidance,” on 17th March 2026 from 11:30 AM to 02:00 PM at the New Conference Hall, with a focus on enhancing CAD proficiency, structural design understanding and professional wellbeing among students. The session was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Manish Dubey, an esteemed alumnus and renowned structural designer, along with Special Guest Dr. Rajeev Chandak, Principal, JEC. During the program, Dr. Dubey delivered an intensive CAD masterclass emphasizing the transition from theoretical drafting to professional structural design practices, providing valuable insights into industry-standard software workflows, precision modeling and real-world applications in large-scale engineering projects. The event marked the beginning of a series of academic and professional initiatives planned by CES for the year, encouraging active student participation and industry interaction. The program was organized under the guidance of Faculty Coordinators Prof. Sandeep Kumar Sahu and Dr. Ankur Vishwakarma, and was efficiently coordinated by 6th-semester Civil Engineering students including Abhishek Tripathi, Shyam Bihari Ojha, Akash Kumar Dwivedi, Kanak Shree Marawi and Aditya Chaturvedi.
