AI Department of JEC Launches "Glimmer 3" Magazine: 5 September 2024

On 5 September 2024, in celebration  of Teacher’s Day, the AI Department of Jabalpur Engineering College (JEC) launched the third edition of its "Glimmer" magazine, titled "Glimmer 3." The launch ceremony was led by Principal Dr P.K. Jhinge, accompanied by former Principal Dr Arvind Sharma, Dr Rajiv Chandak (HOD, Civil Engineering), Dr. Anubha Maheshwari (HOD, Applied Chemistry), Dr Shilpa Saxena (Dean, Student Welfare), Dr Mamta Lambert (HOD, IT), Dr Agya Mishra (HOD, AI) and Dr. Jitendra Singh Thakur (HOD, Computer Science). The magazine, developed by the students under the guidance of Dr Agya Mishra, focuses on the latest advancements and future opportunities in the ever-evolving field of Artificial Intelligence. The decision to launch "Glimmer 3" on Teachers' Day underscored the strong connection between education, mentorship, and technological innovation

During the event, Dr. Agya Mishra emphasised the magazine’s significance, noting its compilation of global AI developments to provide valuable insights for students and professionals. Principal Dr. P.K. Jhinge praised the AI Department's efforts, calling the launch a proud moment for the institution and highlighting its role in advancing AI education. Dr. Malay Nema from DRDO also commended the initiative, acknowledging the dedication of the faculty and students. The magazine is set to inspire students and faculty alike, continuing the tradition of learning and growth symbolised by Teacher’s Day.
