ISRO Scientists Share Space Science Insights with JEC Students on National Space Day: 24 August 2024
On 24 August 2024, Jabalpur Engineering College celebrated National Space Day with a program dedicated to space science. Senior Scientist Ravi Kumar Verma from ISRO Ahmedabad delivered a virtual lecture, discussing Chandrayaan-3 and future missions like Chandrayaan-4 and Gaganyaan. He noted that while many countries have the moon on their flags, only four, including India, have their national flags on the moon.
Principal Dr. P.K. Jhinge emphasised that this event would enhance scientific expression among students, benefiting the institution. Program Coordinator & Head of the Department of Applied Chemistry, Dr. Anubha Maheshwari, highlighted the life of Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, the pioneer of the Indian space program, and the significance of Space Day. Dr. Kamal Kushwaha, Head of the Department of Applied Physics, spoke about the progress of India’s space program, detailing how ISRO scientists have earned global respect through their dedication and intelligence.
