Jabalpur Engineering College Hosts Annual Sports Fest 2025: March 27 to 29, 2025

At Jabalpur Engineering College, the three-day Annual Sports Fest was held from March 27 to 29, 2025. The event began with a lamp-lighting ceremony before the idol of Goddess Saraswati, performed by Principal Dr. Rajeev Chandak, marking an auspicious start to the games. After the inauguration, students were addressed by Dr. Rajeev Chandak, Dr. Aubha Maheshwari, HOD ( Department of Applied Chemistry), Dr. Mamta Lambert, HOD (Department of Information Technology), and Prof. D.C. Rahi

They all spoke about the significance of sports in a student’s overall growth, encouraging everyone to take part with enthusiasm. Dr. Chandak especially urged students to explore sports as a promising career path, noting that the government is giving strong support to such initiatives by providing better platforms in schools and colleges.  This year, all matches were organised as inter-departmental competitions, adding a spirited sense of rivalry and teamwork among the students.

Following the opening session, the grounds came alive with futsal, badminton, athletics, football, basketball, chess, and handball events, showcasing the talent and enthusiasm of participants across departments. Coordinator Prof D.C Rahu, co-coordinator Dr Bhavna Singh, Prof Sumit Rai, Prof Vikrant Patel, Prof Pratibha Mehra, along with all faculty members, remained actively involved throughout the event, to maintain discipline, ensure smooth coordination among students, and uphold fair results. Shri Sahdev Rajak’s dedicated efforts in conducting the event were evident. The sports event concluded on  29 March  2025, with the results of all competitions listed below.
