Sharing Translation Challenges on Hindi Diwas:10 January 2025
Engineering course books were translated into Hindi to make technical subjects more accessible. In recognition of this effort, the professors were honoured by Governor Mangu Bhai Patel at Rajiv Gandhi University. This dedicated work was carried out by Dr. O.P. Chauhan, HOD, Department of Applied Mathematics, Dr. Gopal Meena, and Dr. Bhupendra Gupta from the Government Engineering College. To further share their experiences, the three professors spoke at a special Hindi Diwas event organised by the Civil Engineering Department. They discussed the challenges of translating technical terminology while ensuring accuracy and preserving the core meaning of concepts. They also emphasised how their work helps to bridge the language gap for Hindi-speaking students.
Principal Dr. Rajeev Chandak felicitated the event and praised the professors for their dedication to promoting Hindi in technical education. He highlighted how such initiatives empower students by enabling them to grasp complex subjects more effectively in their native language.
