Jabalpur Engineering College Celebrates 77th Republic Day with Pride and Achievements- 26 January 2026

Jabalpur Engineering College celebrated the 77th Republic Day with immense enthusiasm, pride, and patriotic spirit, aligning with the national theme “150 Years of Vande Mataram.” On the eve of Republic Day, the campus was beautifully illuminated with colourful lights, giving the JEC building a vibrant and inspiring appearance, and creating an atmosphere brimming with national pride.

Republic day 1On 26 January 2026, despite severe fog, the celebrations began at 8:00 a.m. with the hoisting of the National Flag by Principal Dr Rajeev Chandak, followed by the collective singing of the National Anthem by faculty members, staff, and students, echoing unity and patriotism across the campus. The NCC cadets, led by Prof. Sunil Singh, presented a formal salute to the National Flag, after which Principal Dr Chandak took the Guard of Honour, symbolising discipline, respect, and commitment to national values.  Beginning his address, the Principal reminded everyone that on 26 January 1950, under the leadership of Dr B. R. Ambedkar, the Constitution of India was dedicated to the nation. He paid tribute to the soldiers, revolutionaries, and great leaders whose sacrifices have given the country freedom and dignity. He urged the gathering to reflect on their responsibility toward the nation, stating that even small efforts, when combined, help build a strong country. Inspired by the vision of Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, he emphasised the call for Atmanirbhar Bharat, encouraging self-reliance, responsibility, and dedication among students and faculty2026 Repulic day celebration Dr. Chandak then shared the noteworthy achievements of all departments during the academic year 2025–26, stating that these accomplishments truly reflect the spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat. Students across departments achieved remarkable success at international, national, state, and university levels in robotics competitions, hackathons, coding contests, debates, and innovation programs organised by IITs, state governments, and reputed institutions. Teams secured top positions in events such as Smart India Hackathon, Think Tank Event, and Cyber Shield, showcasing strong practical skills and teamwork.

2026 Republic Day 3 A major highlight of the address was the institution’s growing startup and innovation ecosystem. Jabalpur Engineering College received approval for three AI-based startups under NISP 2019, with patents filed by a faculty member, signifying originality. In academics and skill development, students earned prestigious recognitions, including NPTEL Star Awards, high-grade certifications under national schemes, and selections for advanced programs at institutions such as IIT Indore. The sports and NCC departments also brought laurels to the college, with students winning gold, silver, and bronze medals in RGPV, state, and national-level tournaments across various disciplines, including athletics, badminton, and table tennis. NCC cadets earned national-level recognition through disciplined and outstanding performances.

2026 Republic day addressIn the field of research and publications, faculty members made valuable contributions. A book titled “Smart Materials and Applications” was published by the international publisher Taylor & Francis and indexed in Scopus by Elsevier, marking a significant academic achievement for the college. Faculty members also published international research papers, book chapters, and edited volumes, and actively participated in conferences, workshops, and professional development programs.. Several faculty members received honours at international conferences and actively engaged in professional development through workshops and certified courses. Departments also organised seminars, workshops, awareness programs, and training activities, further strengthening the academic and research culture of the institution.2026 republic day NCCDr Chandak also highlighted the college’s strong placement record. Around 81 students secured placements in prestigious national companies, with an average annual package of ₹7 lakh. Leading organisations such as IBM, L&T, Reliance Industries, DENSO, Escorts, Kubota, Planet Spark, and others expressed strong confidence in the capabilities of JEC students. Notably, Adani Group, JSW Group, Torrent Power, and KEC International participated in campus recruitment for the first time, reflecting the institution’s growing reputation. Additionally, 172 students have been shortlisted for the TCS written examination, and the results of their interviews are awaited with optimism.

 Dr Chandak expressed heartfelt appreciation for the dedicated efforts of the members of the Examination Cell and the Valuation Cell, whose prompt work ensured the timely declaration of results. He also acknowledged the support of the clerical staff, security personnel, and multi-tasking staff, recognising their indispensable role in the smooth functioning of the college. The Republic Day celebrations concluded on a noteinspiring the entire JEC community to uphold the values of the Constitution, contribute to nation-building, and continue striving for academic, research, and personal excellence. Jabalpur Engineering College’s achievements in academics, research, innovation, sports, and placements reflect its commitment to excellence and Atmanirbhar Bharat.
