Jabalpur Engineering College Enters into MoU with CRISP Bhopal for Academic and Industrial Collaboration- 27 January 2026

A formal agreement was signed between Jabalpur Engineering College and the Centre for Excellence in Research and Industrial Staff Performance (CRISP), Bhopal, on 27 January 2026, marking a significant step toward strengthening academic, technical, and industrial collaboration. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aims to provide students with industry-oriented education, enhance their skills, and create better employment opportunities. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr Rajeev Chandak, along with Dr Pradeep Jhinge and Dr Saurabh Singh, highlighted that the MoU is designed to go beyond conventional degree-based education. They emphasised that it will equip students with essential practical skills required in the professional world, thereby bridging the gap between academics and industry.

The agreement also establishes a strong platform for faculty members to collaborate and share both academic and industrial research. Under the MoU, a range of student-centric activities will be organised, including job-oriented courses, industrial training, internships, vocational and elective training programs, project work, seminars, webinars, workshops, and industrial visits. These initiatives will help students gain a deeper understanding of both theoretical concepts and real-world industry requirements. Representing CRISP Bhopal, Director Shri Amol Vaidya, Senior Manager Shri Fasal Jafri, and Manager (IT) Shri Praveen Sharma emphasised the importance of closer collaboration between academia and industry. They reaffirmed their commitment to the effective implementation of the MoU.

crisp 2Principal Dr Rajeev Chandak further remarked that the MoU will provide students with firsthand exposure to the realities of the industrial sector while strengthening their academic foundation. He reiterated that the initiative will not limit students to earning a degree but will prepare them with the practical competencies required for successful careers. Overall, the MoU is widely regarded as a significant move toward achieving a balanced integration of academic excellence and industry needs. The conceptual framework and detailed structure of the MoU were prepared by Dr Madhuri Gokhale, Professor Devyani Soni, and Professor Sudhanshu Dole. Their work was later reviewed and finalised under the guidance of Dr Kamal Kumar Kushwah, ensuring that the agreement aligns with both academic goals and industry expectations. Dr Chandak appreciated the dedicated efforts of Dr Saurabh Singh, Training and Placement Officer (TPO), for his instrumental contribution in facilitating and strengthening this MoU.
