SVEEP Programme Implemented by JEC Faculty to Facilitate Student Voter Registration- 9th & 10th January 2026:

A Special Voter ID Registration Camp was successfully organized at Jabalpur Engineering College (JEC), Jabalpur, under the aegis of the District Election Office, Jabalpur, with the visionary and inspiring guidance of Shri Pramod Shrivastava, District SVEEP Coordinator, Jabalpur, in accordance with the directives of the Election Commission of India. The camp was conducted on 9th and 10th January 2026 to facilitate the enrollment of eligible young voters under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) programme.

The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, with around 130 students completing their online voter registration during the two-day camp. The program played a crucial role in raising awareness among young citizens about their democratic rights and responsibilities, while also facilitating a smooth and accessible voter registration process on campus. The special camp was organised under the guidance of Dr A. K. Kori, Vice Principal, Professor & Head of the Electrical Engineering Department and District-level SVEEP Member, Dr Kamal Kumar Kushwah ( HOD Department of Applied Physics). The overall coordination and execution of the programme were carried out by  SVEEP  Nodal Officers of JEC, Dr Durgesh Nandini Nagvanshi,  Prof. Pradeepti Lakra and Prof. Devendra Meda. The successful implementation of the camp was further strengthened by the dedicated cooperation of the ELC (Electoral Literacy Club) departmental coordinators and team.

 This initiative reflects Jabalpur Engineering College’s strong commitment to promoting civic awareness and encouraging active participation of youth in the electoral process. By providing students with an on-campus opportunity to register as voters, the institution contributed meaningfully to the national mission of strengthening democracy through informed and empowered young voters. The college administration and SVEEP team appreciated the active involvement of students and expressed confidence that such initiatives would inspire greater electoral participation in the future
