TechBlitz 2025: Bridging the Gap Between Learning and Industry- 1 August 2025
The inaugural function of the two-week special technical workshop, TechBlitz, was held at Jabalpur Engineering College (JEC) on August 1, 2025. Organised by the Cosmos Club under the guidance of Dr. Jitendra Singh Thakur, Head of the Computer Science Department, the workshop aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and its real-world application in the industry. The event brought together experts from leading companies, including Microsoft, Amazon, Intel, NVIDIA, TCS, and others—all of whom are proud alumni of JEC—who will train students during the workshop. Covering 11 important topics, including Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, Software Design, AI, VLSI, and Product Management, the workshop is open to students from all branches, allowing them to learn from industry professionals and work on real-world problem-solving
Speaking at the inaugural session, Principal Dr. Rajeev Chandak congratulated the organisers and members of the Cosmos Club for hosting such a meaningful event. He appreciated Dr. Jitendra Singh Thakur for taking the initiative to connect the college with the industry. “Our goal is not just to help students pass exams but to fully prepare them for their careers. By interacting with industry people, you will learn how to tackle real-world problems. This workshop is a big step in that direction,” said Dr. Chandak.
In his address, Dr. Jitendra Singh Thakur emphasised that the main objective of this workshop is to provide students with the opportunity to learn directly from industry experts and bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and its practical application. This two-week programme is being conducted with the genuine support of coordinator Prof. Madhvi Soni, and a dedicated student team consisting of Dhruv Shukla, Akaash Sharma, Gaurav, Parth, Shreyansh, Peeyush, Nikhil, Dhanushree, and Shristi. Their collective efforts have played a vital role in bringing the event to life.
