Event: Teacher's Day

Teachers’ Day Celebration – 2025

Electrical Engineering Department, Jabalpur Engineering College

The Electrical Engineering Department of Jabalpur Engineering College celebrated Teachers’ Day 2025 with great enthusiasm and heartfelt gratitude. The program was organized by the students to honor their mentors and express appreciation for their invaluable guidance and support.

The celebration began with a warm welcome, where every teacher was felicitated with a rose as a gesture of respect. Students showcased their creativity and admiration through poems, speeches, and personal reflections, highlighting the vital role teachers play in shaping not only their academic journey but also their overall personality.

The event was graced by the faculty members of the Electrical Engineering Department as well as the respected Heads of various departments, whose presence added to the significance of the occasion.

The program concluded with heartfelt thanks extended to all teachers for their dedication and tireless efforts. The celebration fostered a sense of respect, joy, and togetherness, leaving behind lasting memories for both students and faculty.

Event- Engineer's Day

Report on Engineers' Day Celebration

The Department of Electrical Engineering, Jabalpur Engineering College (JEC), in collaboration with the Institution of Engineers (India), Jabalpur Local Chapter, successfully organized an Engineers' Day celebration on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya. The event was graced by distinguished guests including Dr. Rajeev Chandak, Prinicpal , Jabalpur Engineering College; Dr. Rajeev Jain, Secretary of IEI, Jabalpur Local Chapter, Professor R. K. Jain; Dr. A.K. Sharma, former Principal of JEC and Dr. Shailja Shukla, Head of Department, Electrical Engineering.

The event commenced with a formal welcome address, where the guests, faculty members, and students were greeted warmly. Principal Dr. Rajeev Chandak delivered an inspiring speech, highlighting the legacy of Sir M. Visvesvaraya and emphasizing the importance of engineering innovation in nation-building. Dr. Shailja Shukla, HOD of Electrical Engineering, also addressed the gathering, motivating students to follow the path of wisdom and excellence in their academic and professional journeys.

Following the welcome session, the celebration featured the inauguration and launch of a new book authored by Dr. A.K. Kori, Professor, Electrical Engineering Department. The book release marked a significant academic milestone and was appreciated by all present.

The main attraction of the event was the Speech and Poetry Competition, organized to encourage student participation and creativity. A total of 15 students enthusiastically participated in the competitions, showcasing their talent and perspectives on engineering and related themes. The competitions were conducted in two categories:

Poetry Competition:

  1. Raunak Dubey (First Prize)

  2. Aman Sharma (Second Prize)

  3. Namami Pandey (Third Prize)

Speech Competition:

1. Kopal Tripathi (First Prize)

 2. Harsh Meena (Second Prize)

3. Vidhushi Sharma (Third Prize)

The prize distribution ceremony followed, wherein the top three winners from each category were awarded Certificates of Excellence by HOD Dr. Shailja Shukla and former Principal Dr. A.K. Sharma. The recognition encouraged students and added great enthusiasm to the celebration.

The event concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks, extending gratitude to the esteemed guests, faculty members, student participants, and organizers. Special acknowledgment was given to the collaborative efforts of the faculty team and the Institution of Engineers (India), Jabalpur Local Chapter, for their support in making the event a grand success.

The Engineers' Day celebration not only paid tribute to the legendary engineer Sir M. Visvesvaraya but also provided a platform for students to showcase their talent and draw inspiration from the distinguished guests and faculty present.
